Facilitator:
A facilitator is a person who helps a group of trainees to get knowledge on a specified subject so that they were able to perform in a better way. The Facilitator understands the common objectives, and plan how to achieve these objectives, during training sessions.
The Facilitator's Role:
To encourage the participants to use the different methods for accomplishing their task by:
Planning and setting a positive learning environment
Responding to trainees needs and giving necessary guidance and support
Remaining neutral to the subject and participants
Keeping the participant focused
Keeping an eye on the time
Suggesting methods and procedures that can help the group work better
Encouraging participation by everyone
Educating/informing participants about activities and steps
Providing study material to trainees
Quality of a Good Facilitator:
